BY USING A NON OFFICIAL FIRMWARE VERSION YOU ALWAYS HAVE THE RISK OF TURNING YOUR DEVICE INTO A BRICK. ALTHOUGH EVERYTHING IS DONE TO REDUCE THIS RISK TO A MINIMUM I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED WHATSOEVER.
THE OPENBOOX FIRMWARE CAN BE USED ON THE BOOX60, BOOX A60, BEBOOK NEO, WOLDER BOOX ETC. IT SHOULD NOT BE USED ON THE M9X SERIES OF DEVICES.
The update.upd file is a full update containing bootsplash, kernels and root filesystem. The support files (fonts, handwriting, tts, etc.) have to be taken over from an official firmware version (A60).
